Torrington W.I.
Members of Torrington WI will be found lending a
hand serving refreshments at the Junior School's Summer Fayre and Sports
event on July 3rd in the evening.. This will enable Mums to watch their
offspring spring off, run, jump and leap and cheer them on in their endeavours.
Hope the weather is good!
Our July Monthly Meeting will be on Wednesday 8 July at 7pm in the Methodist
Church Hall. ur Speaker/Demonstrator will be Joan Hardie with "A
Peek into Artburn" which is the craft of pyrography, creating designs
by burning, usually on wood or leather; sounds fascinating.
Weather permitting there will be croquet afternoons for those who fancy
a try, as well as the more experienced, in the informal setting of a member's
garden. There will be walks on the Commons or somewhere just a bus ride
away and Scrabble evenings to activate the "little grey cells"
and have fun. If there are any local quizzes, we will probably be there
with a team.
