Tug-Of-War As part of the Weare Giffard village fete on 15 August, it is hoped to have a Tug-of-War contest. We are therefore inviting all pubs, clubs, other organisations or just groups of friends to enter a team. A team consists of eight people, the entry fee is £10 and there will be a prize for the winning team. So come on you strapping men, form a team and see if you can defeat the crack athletes from the Cyder Presse at Weare Giffard as Torrington Cavaliers did last year.
